After a period of relative turmoil and reconstruction, the Demons of Gyrophonia are currently putting together a collection of songs and improvisations for their Obligatory Eponymous Debut album. A few of the improvisations are available for listening now.

Live Performance on Jesse Harlin’s “Growth” Installation

As part of his Symbiotic Media Program at Oklahoma, Jesse took what we learned at the Max/MSP/Jitter workshop in Cambridge to build “Growth” , an interactive multimedia installation controlled entirely by video game controllers.

pd Patches

One of these days, I’m gonna teach myself pd. I collected these patches from the STEIM pd Workshop that took place awhile back, mainly as an insurance policy if the site is ever removed. The internet has this nasty habit of having cool stuff removed when nobody’s looking.

Mainly for my own purposes, but if you’re also into pd, please enjoy.

Recordings: the vast wasteland of noise

If somebody told me last week that I had over 4½ hours of recorded music that I had either written or performed on and had stashed away somewhere, I probably would have looked at them funny and accused them of being off their meds. As it turns out, it’s fact. And it’s all here for you to listen to.

I’ll have more here soon as well, so keep a lookout.

In other news, I got my first comment spam over here today. Seems the bots are faster at seeking out new sites than the humans are.

Music Blog

I’ve set up the music blog over here at music.vybeauregard.net. It’s completely separate from the other one at www.vybeauregard.net; that way, only relevant music-related posts will appear here. If it’s big news pertaining to noise, it will probably end up getting posted both places. I will also be providing a feed combining all my posts for those who prefer not to clutter their feed readers with eleventy billion bookmarks for one person.

With all of that said, I’ve got most of the music branch of the site up and running. Poke around, have a listen, leave a comment and tell me what you think. Good/bad/ambivalent, I don’t mind. I just want to hear what you have to say!
